LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League 2015 Sets – Official Images

  • 76025 Green Lantern vs. Sinestro
  • 76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas
  • 76027 Black Manta Deep Sea Strike
  • 76028 Darkseid Invasion

Well, as most Super Heroes sets these are awesome for the same reason I run this blog: minifigures are amazing. The builds look decent, but somehow miss this certain something LEGO designers seem to put into the non-licensed lines. The thing I personally like the most is the Piaggio Ape from the Gorilla Grodd set.

Dallas, Texas - Johnny
This is my friend Johnny. He has been travelling the country by rail. Not Amtrak but jumping trains like was common back in the Depression. He told me stories of some of his travels. Originally from California he makes his home in Colorado when he’s not traveling.
Yesterday he was in Dallas for a few days (I directed him to Deep Ellum) and then he’s heading for Austin to take in that scene.
This is a real life Jack Dawson - Living by his own wits, making his own way, travelling when he wants to. There is a whole sub culture of young folks just like him. Look around folks - They are everywhere.

Only a sheet of ice protects you from falling 1000 feet down this Abyss
Photographer Aaron Huey, who is on assignment for National Geographic, recently shared a picture of a frighteningly deep hole on the Lower Ruth Glacier. The only thing stopping people from plummeting down the 1000 feet drop into the ground is a sheet of ice. One crack, though.

Staring down what could be a 1,000ft deep worm hole through the blue ice of the Lower #RuthGlacier. I was never afraid of the ones full of water, they’d just be cold, but some had no water and it was easy to imagine a long slide to an icy death. #yikes (on assignment for @natgeo in #DenaliNationalPark)

but if there’s no water how did the ice get there?
